"All our creations are unique. And now they will be even more so". With these few words, HYT CEO Vincent Perriard outlines the scope of the latest wildly creative step from the young independent brand.

A TECHNICAL REVOLUTION; A NEW FUTURE FOR WATCHMAKING

Those who know the brand's history will see this move as a further step towards ever-increasing originality and creativity. Because, when constructing the brand, HYT first had to deconstruct the received ideas set by centuries of outstanding inventions in watchmaking. On one hand, tradition used to honour a transmission mechanism featuring gears and a display which features hands. On the other, it had no place for liquids or for an interplay of pressure. Since 2012, HYT has changed the game. Reconciling elements has becoming its driving force, opening up perspectives in watchmaking that were prohibited until that time.

Today, HYT is going yet one step further. The reflection is centred around an observation: cases have been created for decades by combining materials and colours, sometimes leading, it is true, to surprising results. But why not let the customer be the one to choose an alchemy that appeals to them?

An HYT timepiece is where emotion meets technology, a rare and unique object. This exercise should be taken to its natural conclusion: offering to build a case which integrates elements with their own emotional weight, personal to each owner. The ultimate customisation. FROM CIGARS TO SAND

For more than two years, HYT and its partners have been working together to create a material able to integrate external elements chosen by future owners. "The real challenge was to develop an alloy whose chemical structure we could alter by adding solid, foreign elements to its basic formula, without affecting either its reliability or technical properties, such as hardness, density or brilliance",
explains Vincent Perriard, HYT CEO. "Our knowledge of fluid technology, in conjunction with the right partner, with an added pinch of audacity — or perhaps insanity — allowed us to achieve this goal!".

Owners therefore can, under certain technical conditions, incorporate solid elements from their own personal universe in their HYT. Are you a cigar lover? Then the H1's case can be adorned with the most beautiful Rodolfo Vitola cigar leaves from your personal collection. Sand from the beaches of your island? HYT has successfully incorporated sand from the famed Anse du Gouverneur beach on Saint Barthélémy.

A NEW WORLD

As with the first H1, HYT is not creating a "product", but is rather opening up a new world, a field of as yet unimagined creativity. By creating customised unique pieces, each HYT piece will be able to reflect the passions and lives of lovers of new watchmaking and a close personal passion of their choosing.
